The police department had forgotten to renew their URL… very humorous!
Ian talks about the new Tesla coming out… 4 door sedan. Sounds interesting.

Fisker Karma is coming to Vancouver. Performance hybrid car.
Ian talks about Tesla and how they are pushing forward with their 100% plug-in electric.
Bob asks if the charging length issue is resolved.
Bob asks if they will lobby against the Tesla because of the acid from the batteries ending up in landfills. He compares that to lobbying against the smart meters because of exposure to radiation.
Bob mentions that lithium mines may be going out of business because of a new process that captures lithium as a byproduct of potash…
Andrew brings up the ultracapacitor which can charge in seconds.
Ian says the patents get bought up and don’t ever see the light of day.
Ian says the reason the cars don’t come out is because people are afraid of change and don’t want to buy into the technology.
Ian gets into Linked In… He has been embracing the platform and is kicking butt.
He took a course from Lewis Howes and is building a solid Linked In profile by following Lewis Howes advice.
Ian mentions Slide Share and how you can embed it into Linked In and differentiate your profile.
Ian says that maximizing each section of your Linked In profile needs to be optimized. You have to make sure it is legible need to continue to optimize the page.
Ian talks about the free App Sumo video which promotes the full course. He says that the videos are so full of information that your brain will melt.
Ian has noticed a big improvement in the number of people viewing his profile for the targeted topics.
James doesn’t like the new Linked In app. You can’t use bump in Linked In anymore.
Margaret likes that you own your contact list in Linked In and export it to excel or outlook.
Ian talks about strategies on how to create a targeted list using Linked In.
Bob says Facebook’s IPO will be billions of dollars… James disagrees.
He says Social Media and Tech Stocks aren’t safe.
James says invest in stocks you believe in… If you believed in Apple back in the day…
Bob wants to pull the Bunker hotline number because people aren’t calling in.
Bob says that people are complaining because facebook has become complicated.
Ian mentions the mobile app is way too slow.
Bob doesn’t like that you can’t zap out all your stuff into facebook.
He wants everyone to leave facebook and come over to Google Plus.
They are making people have to log in to post instead of auto posting or cross-posting.
James says that is a good strategy for facebook and people should be diversifying their content in each platform. He hates cross-posted content. Bonnie and Margaret agree.
A good conversation about how often to tweet and what to tweet.
James talks about Start Up Weekend and the company he created with his team over the weekend.
He talks about a couple other ideas that were presented during startup weekend…
16 companies were started over the weekend (54 hours)
Pitched the companies to the VC’s and the best one wins.
James says he needs to learn how to pitch better.
