The other day I wanted to share a cool facebook post outside of facebook. I didn’t want to link to the facebook page but rather to the specific post.
I realized that I didn’t know how to do this!
I know I can share the post to my friends on facebook but what if you want to link directly to the post in your blog or on your podcast via a pretty link or something?
It took a few minutes to figure this out but it is easy to do.
Ok… so how did I find the link to my facebook post?

Where is the link to a facebook post?
First go to the post you want to link to and click on the date/time stamp. It is at the top left of the facebook status update under the page name.

Once you have clicked on the Date/Time stamp the post will open in its own page.
Next copy the text in the address bar of your web browser and voila!

You now have your facebook post link for the status update you want to share either on another facebook post or as a link in your blog or to share on another social network.
For bonus points you can use this url to create a sniply link which will give you a link back to whatever page you want.
The End.
